At Harrenhal, Oscar Tully, the new Lord Paramount of the Trident, arrives with the Riverlords. He vows to honor his grandfather’s oath to Rhaenyra and offers Daemon allegiance. The Riverlords doubt Oscar’s youth and resent Daemon for allowing Blackwood atrocities against House Bracken. To appease them, Oscar condemns Ser Willem Blackwood’s savagery; Willem claims he followed Daemon’s orders, but Oscar insists he be held accountable. Oscar demands Daemon show contrition and dispense justice. Daemon agrees and executes Willem. Later, Daemon has a vision of Viserys, who says he never wanted the crown and that it crushes its wearer, asking if Daemon still desires it.
